No, you're not seeing things. And no, they've not moved an ocean to Iowa. These are some of the pictures from our beach photo session celebrating LJ's 6 month birthday. He's grown so much even since then. We got some cute shots, but man was that a messy day! It really makes one wonder about those beautiful swimsuit models and everything it must take to make them look so perfect.
I've been neglecting my blog updates, but we're here in Iowa now. I wish I could say we're settled, but "settled" would be a touch inaccurate. We're having a good time, and the chaos has slowed down a bit, but living in a hotel is still a little odd. Okay, a LOT odd. In case you haven't heard, we had an issue with our corporate housing. They set us up in a building that didn't allow dogs! Poor Frankie! Sending him to a kennel wasn't an option. (After all, they paid for his air travel! How did they let that "minor detail" slip through the cracks?) So, we're here at the Residence Inn. Luckily they had a two bedroom suite for us, so while we are jammed in here, we're not quite sardines. We have a kitchen, living room, two bedrooms and two bathrooms. It's fine. I have to look at the bright side...HOUSE KEEPING! Not to mention free breakfast every morning! :-)
With any luck, we'll be out of here soon. Miracle of all miracles, we have a buyer for our place in CA. The inspection contingency has just been lifted, and everything is rocking and rolling! We're headed tomorrow to pay another visit to the house I'm in love with. Again, with any luck...
I'd like to ask that if you're a regular reader you please sign up as a "follower." I've been spending more time updating LJ's website on Shutterfly (if you'd like to be a member of this site, please email me at hollyberecz97@psualum.com. I'm happy to add you!) and since I don't really have many blog followers, I'm not sure I'm going to keep up with the latest.
Happy Summer!
