Our co-ed baby shower picnic took place on Saturday, August 23 back in Pennsylvania. With a "Luau" theme, we had around 100 guests join us to celebrate Baby Berecz. Steve's family came in for the party, as did some of my childhood friends. We were so touched by everybody traveling so far to celebrate with us. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! For being a part of our special day!
My mom and dad did all the work, really outdoing themselves. We had pineapples and Hawaiian trail mix on the tables, a paper mache volcano to hold cards, beach chairs under a palm tree to sit on while we opened gifts, and a baby carriage carved out of a watermelon!
It was a beautiful day and everyone enjoyed lots of food, beer and Baggo fun! It was fantastic to be with my friends, most of whom have kids of their own now. My, how the times have changed!
We got so many wonderful gifts. Everybody was beyond generous. And all of the large gifts were sent to our home. THANK YOU, again, everybody, for making it so easy on us. We were able to fit EVERYTHING we received in our luggage and had nothing to ship back!
The rest of the weekend was spent with family...hanging out with Noelle, Brian and Breckin, who is getting just too big and cuter by the day! We made a trip to a winery, Greendance- the winery at Sandhill Berries. And Steve made friends with the winemaker, in true Steve fashion.
We had a great visit home and are now preparing for the arrival of L.J. Yes...the name has been finalized. He will be Lukasz John Berecz. You may call him Luke or L.J., which is what Mommy and Daddy will probably call him most! We can't wait to meet you little baby!
Thanks again to everyone for making us a fantastic weekend!
