The cousins: Lukasz and Breckin
On March 18, Lukasz and I went on an adventure to Pennsylvania. Steve headed to Philly for his third interview with Shire, so we went to see our friends and family.
LJ did pretty well on the flights. He had some moments of fussiness, but overall, he did great. We had some friendly folks next to us, including a few grandparents. That was helpful. It wasn't an easy task to travel 3,000 miles alone with a 4-month-old, but we did fine. And now I know I can take him ANYWHERE!
While there, we visited with his Great Grandparents, spent time playing with cousin Breckin, Aunt Noelle and Unkie Brian. Lukasz played with Abby and Emma Tikey, Claire Puskar, Drew Troutman and Lauren Stafford. He also got to meet Aunt Bonnie, cousin Joe and Barb and their little ones Brianna and Toby. Mary Ann & Mark Nicholson came for a visit, as did Mary Ann and Mark Orlando and Justin.
He also got to meet some of mommy's high school friends at Bud Murphy's. A group of about 50 of us met in the Shamrock Room to catch up and see all the little ones.
In all, it was a great visit. It's hard to be home now, without everyone around. It was great to have the extra hands as well as just spend time with everybody. It makes me feel sad that I can't be there to see everyone, and that they can't see Lukasz grow up live and in person. But, we made some great memories, and we plan to go back as soon as we can!
